Say More With More At Google

January 22nd, 2005 | by Mike G |

Google has increased their web search word limit from 10 to 32 words. Prior to this change parameters after the 10th word were ignored.

This is great for me, since I frequently exclude words (using the ‘minus’ operator) to pair down my search results.

I can only guess that they must have really increased their query speed, or made significant improvements to their algorithm in order to increase the possible parameters three-fold.

Thats great! I always hated Google for limiting their search to 10 words… Yeah, people freak out when I say this, but I’m actually a Yahoo! Search preferer.
