I Want My Google TV

It was only a matter of time. Late Monday Google released a new service that will index previously aired content from ABC, PBS, Fox News and C-SPAN offering it as part of its Web search. They aren’t doing any whiz-bangery, like converting the video to divx and text-to speeching the audio.
Nope, just the closed captioning provided by the television networks, and no direct links to video content, thought they do provide in some cases a screen capture to gussy up their search page. Right now, most of the channels are bay area stations, but certainly more will follow. Soon they will buy TiVO and take over.
…and what a happy day that will be.
